Predictions for snow - at last!

So, after checking the weather everyday for the past few months we have finally noticed a prediction for a bit of snow! Due for London and the South East on Friday December 16th, as well as Birmingham and the Midlands starting tonight and tomorrow, along with cold weather, wind and rain I can see Friday and Monday being very busy for us here so this is a call to get your orders in for heaters now before its too late. Considering the weather this year, we here at London Cool and Midland Cool are extremely dissapointed that we have not had snow any earlier and although its not predicted we get much, it still goes to show that temperatures really are falling and set to fall even further over the next 4-5 days. We cannot explain how busy we were last year with the poor weather and with high demands for heaters it became quite difficult to meet the demands of all our customers - that is why we ask you get get your orders in early, to avoid dissappointment.

Will it be a white christmas?

Image
The current winter weather for London Cool and the South East is typical December. Cold over night but no Northernly winds so not too bad during the day. The Met Office are not yet predicting a white christmas. Similar weather in the east and west Midlands for Midland Cool too at the moment. Businesss in the past week has been OK with brisk oil filled radiators out on hire maily to heat office areas. A new range of commercial 3kW fan heaters  have arrived (see picture below). These can be hired or purchased and are ideal for heating shops, schools, nurseries, doctors and dentists. They are heat safe too, any part of the heater can be touched and it will not burn, the casing stays cool. If temperatures really do drop below freezing point for a period of time our range of portable dehumidifiers to dry flooded areas in the case of burst pipes, are all ready to go. All dehumidifiers are available for hire. We currently hire regularly in London and central Birming...

Requests for heaters have begun this week at both London Cool and Midland Cool , although the temperatures and snow levels aren't quite the same as they were this time last year! Rentals have included space heaters, both direct and indirect oil fired. This year out preferred fuel for our portable space heaters will be kerosene. Orders for marquee, party and event heaters such as patio heaters (gas or electric) and ducted heating are being received for Christmas and new year party events. Offices are taking mainly oil filled radiators and our new 3kw electric fan heater which is soon to be put onto our website, they are super quiet and the casing and front are safe to touch. Winter products - will they be needed?

London Cool and Midland Cool will soon be offering the Airfree range of air purifiers. These are non mechanical units. Airfree promote themselves as "The natural solution for asthma, allergies, mould and contaminated air". We will be offering the Airfree purifiers for non domestic markets such as hotels, museums, nuseries and schools, hospitals, councils, doctors surgeries and dentists. Will winter ever arrive?

London and Midland Cool feel the current weather in London and Birmingham is great for most as its so mild. Not perhaps ideal for our  hire of portable air conditioner units or rental of space or office heaters.  London temperatures this weekend could hit 17 degrees! Current temperature at our Gatwick warehouse is 14 degrees and our south London warehouse 15 degrees.  Another victory for met office predictions.  Business is going well with new contracts for air conditioning service and planned maintenance. We have also put in a large chiller for cooling and heating at a film set but which film? Sorry guys, we cannot reveal that until the film hits our cinemas! Next time we can give you an update on our new range of temporary portable evaporative coolers and portable or wall mount air purifiers. In the meantime if you need a patio heater for a party or event then mention this blog and you will get £10 off our already good hire prices!!  Even better...

Will the heater season continue?

For London and the South East, the weather for the start of November this year appears to be going the way that the Met Office predicted. It seems that our Midland branch is looking at weather very similar to this being wet and mild and quite humid at times. So, even after our week of heaters flying out with the cold spell, the weather seems quite unpredictable at the moment so it makes it tough for London Cool and Midland Cool to predict if any more of our range of heaters will be going out any time soon. With the temperatures hovering at comfortable temperatures, we are beginning to wonder even if we will send any more portable air conditioners out. Our installation department however, is on a whole other level. Heat pump installations are going extremely well, particularly in Birmingham, Sussex and London. Air conditioning systems nowadays are supplied with heat pumps - this makes the 'air conditioning' unit a good purchase for comfortable temperatures all year long ....

The start of the heater season

Welcome to the Cool Blog the home blog for London Cool and Midland Cool What can we say, another year and another poor summer but London and Midland Cool have been getting a lot of orders for new air conditioning installations and service contracts, so a very big thank you to all of our customers! We are well on our way to growing even further in 2012. As usual we have had many predictions from the press about the winter weather stating the UK is in for a very cold and very hard winter quite soon. Although we have had a sudden change of weather there is no sign of that yet and the Met Office have certainly not predicted anything like this so far?  We have had very weird weather this year, it seems as though it cannot make up it's mind. With nothing but rain in the summer with odd days of slight sun, and an extremely hot Indian summer at the beginning of the month which lasted for not much more than a week. Now it is as though the majority of the Autumn season will be missed as...
